We love a challenge, particularly one with an adrenalin rush which involves heights from afar and jumping out of planes! First-time jumper Karen (Centre Director at CPCC) and third time crazy jumper Fay (Development Officer at CPCC) will undertake a tandem skydive on Saturday 29 June at 12pm to ...
The Crossway Pregnancy Crisis Centre was set up in 1999, to support those facing the trauma of an unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy loss. We became a charity in 2005. Based in East Twickenham, London, we seek to support women, and their partners, in the boroughs of Richmond, Hounslow and Kingston.
Our ethos is that no woman should have to go through the experience of considering having an abortion, or dealing with a miscarriage or past abortion, without being supported.
As an independent pregnancy centre we are committed to offering professional standards of non-directive care and support to people facing unintended pregnancy. We adhere to the ethical framework for good practice for counselling and psychotherapy as laid down by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. We welcomed the calls in the press earlier this year for better regulation of centres like ours.
We are very grateful to Richard West, Operational Lead for Sexual Health, Hounslow, who gave time to meet me and review our practice in the light of the recommendations made by the Brook Report, and who commented that “Using the Education for Choice toolkit, Crossway met a signification amount of the best practice toolkit already. Areas have been suggested for service improvement including more established working with NHS services”. Richard has sign-posted clients to us for a number of years now, and has indicated his willingness to continue this practice, following our meeting.
Our ethos is that no woman should have to go through the experience of considering having an abortion, or dealing with a stillbirth, miscarriage or past abortion, without being supported.
